Tweak UI (Tweak User Interface) is a free utility written by Microsoft (it is one of the "Powertoys").  Warning: While easy to use, the installation of this utility is intended for the more advanced user - please back up your Registry before installing.  It can be found on the Windows 98 disk in E:\tools\reskit\powertoy.  Windows 95 users will have to download it:  Microsoft Powertoys for Windows 95

  1. Download Powertoy.exe to a folder.
  2. Double-click Powertoy.exe (several files will self-extract)
  3. Right-click Tweakui.inf
  4. Select Install

Can I get rid of the password box that appears when the computer starts up?

  1. Select the Network tab
  2. Select Log On Automatically At System Startup
  3. Type your user name and password, and click OK
