Howdy! My name is Dave Dockery. I go by the nickname of "Doc". I've been removing a lot of viruses & spyware from my clients' computers lately. This junk has been growing increasingly tenacious. No longer can you run a single utility, and expect it to protect your computer. I give a 6-hour seminar entitled Defending Your Computer which details a method of cleaning and immunizing your system. This website is a resource for that seminar. All of the utilities that I use are linked from this web, and all of them are free to use. |
The plan of attack that I use for cleaning and protecting your computer varies depending upon the state of your computer when you start. If your computer is thoroughly infected with viruses and spyware already, then you will have to use a more severe method in order to wrest control of your computer immediately from the malware that is causing it to slow down and malfunction. I will deal with severe infections later.

| Protection teaches how to lock down your computer to protect it from further infection. I have seen instances where the malware was busily re-infecting the computer WHILE cleaning was in progress. You need to seize control of your computer before you begin disinfecting it if at all possible. |
