Introduction

The Outlook Calendar is a powerful utility designed to help you manage your schedule. The Calendar uses the same basic interface to schedule Appointments, Meetings, and Events.

Appointments are scheduled items
Meetings are Appointments that are scheduled with other people
Events are Appointments or Meetings that last over a single day

Overview

Initially, using the Calendar may seem overly complex - partly because there are so many ways to view your Calendar information. Go to the Calendar Views page to get a fast look at some of your options.

An Outlook feature that is used extensively in Outlook, not just within the Calendar, is the Date Navigator. While it's very easy to use, a fast look at the Date Navigator page should be worth the time spent.

Scheduling Appointments, Meetings, and Events shows you how to handle each of these items.

Learn how to expand Appointments, Meetings, and Events to recurring items.

If it becomes necessary to permit others to view your Calendar you must assign them as Delegates.

Often it's necessary to print out your schedule.
