[ Global Address List ] Personal Address Book ] Distribution Lists ]

Using the Global Address List

  1. On the Tools Menu click Address Book.
  2. In the Show Names from the: box, select the desired address book (if different from the Global Address List: The Global Address List is the list of all users and groups within Exchange while Contacts or Personal Address Book are your personally entered items).
  3. In the Type Name or Select from List: box type the first 3 or 4 letters of the desired person's last name
  4. To edit the contact just double click it.
  5. After you have selected a named, licking the New Message button on the toolbar opens a new message, places the selected name in the To: box, and places the cursor in the Subject box.
  6. Add a Personal Distribution List by clicking File and New Entry. Click New Distribution List and click OK.
  7. Click Select Members and double click on the individuals you wish to add to the list. Click OK, then click Save and Close and close out the address book by clicking the X in the upper right corner of the address book window.
 

Note: Multiple names may be selected by standard Windows file selection techniques using the Shift or Control keys. The contacts are also accessible by clicking Contacts on the Views bar.
