Both Email messages and Contacts may be flagged to remind you to perform some action at sometime in the future. This is an easy-to-use, but powerful feature. Flagged items will pop-up when they become due to remind you that you need to take some action.

  1. Right-click on either a message or a contact and select Flag for Follow Up, and the following dialog box will appear:

  1. Follow up is the default selection for the Flag to area. You may click the drop-down arrow to see other stock actions, or you may create your own action by typing it in to the box.
  2. Flags are not assigned a completion date by default, but you can click the drop-down arrow in the "Due by:" box and select one by using the Date Navigator.
  3. You will see the item that you flagged with a small red flag next to it. If you don't either clear the flag or mark it completed by its due date, it will pop-up to remind you that you need to take care of it, and the flagged item will appear in red text.

  1.  When the flagged item becomes due, you may either mark it as Dismiss it, Snooze it, or Open Item in order to reschedule it.
